Professional Bio
Paul Chu is a board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. He graduated from NYU School of Medicine and interned at NYU-Bellevue Hospital. He completed a dermatology residency at University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and a Dermatopathology fellowship under Dr. Philip Leboit, also at UCSF.
He has been practicing dermatopathology since 1993, first as an associate and then a partner at Pathology Associates of NY. In 2004, the practice joined Dermpath Diagnostics and he became executive managing director until March 2018.
Throughout his career he has been integrally involved with several dermatology teaching programs (Albert Einstein College of Medicine, SUNY at Stony Brook, New York Medical College, St. John’s Episcopal, and Palisade Medical Center) teaching hundreds of residents both in dermatology and dermatopathology.
